Working Together to Reduce the Burden of Cancer

Community organizations are at the heart of SF CAN's mission. Together, we develop, implement, and evaluate programs that improve cancer prevention, increase screening, reduce disparities, and connect people with trusted care and resources throughout San Francisco.

Whether you're a community-based organization, healthcare provider, advocacy group, faith-based organization, or public agency, we welcome opportunities to collaborate in advancing equitable cancer prevention and early detection.

Mission Neighborhood Health Center

Mission Neighborhood Health Center (MNHC), a San Francisco Community Clinic Consortium Clinic, has been serving San Francisco for more than 50 years, providing high-quality, culturally competent primary care to our community.

With a longstanding commitment to improving health equity, MNHC has been a trusted community health center that plays a critical role in connecting patients with preventive care and reducing barriers to cancer screening.

MNHC is a valued partner in the San Francisco Cancer Initiative’s efforts to increase access to lifesaving cancer screening and education. Together, we’ve hosted community outreach events that connect residents with trusted, language-appropriate information about breast and colorectal cancer prevention and early detection.

Through health education, bilingual resources, and screening awareness campaign, we’re working side by side to reduce barriers to care and ensure more San Franciscans have the opportunity to detect and treat cancer early.
